Proud moments can come in all forms, sizes, and degrees. These are some of the stepping stones in a person’ s life…. moments that we can recall as we look ahead, all while remembering that it took time, effort, energy, and determination to get to where we are.
These are Moments that you have been extremely proud of your child with special needs. Although, you may feel you can only share your excitement or enthusiasm with others that will really understand! WE UNDERSTAND!!
Enjoy these proud moments and congratulate these folks! Take a moment and be proud of the accomplishments of our children and what these children have achieved.

My Fish
My son Eli is a very active boy who loves to run, jump on the trampoline, and swim; swimming is his favorite. He’ s a little fish in the water and he learned on his own without swim lessons. Eli also has Down Syndrome [2]. Oh, and he has a great sense of humor, too. He’s just amazing.

Little Treasures
Where we live lots of people paint small rocks or pebbles and leave them in local parks for children to find. My son, Samuel (4 yrs old), found one yesterday and it was like the most precious thing he’d ever seen. We’re now going to paint and hide some rocks ourselves. It’s lovely that he’s progressed to a point where he can understand what we were doing. We had so much fun.

Moving Past Fear
This is my daughter who is 14. We were downtown on Saturday and this park has tires you walk on. The last time we were there she restricted herself because of not wanting to walk on the tires. Well, this Saturday she decided to try it and got past her fear.
