One of the biggest fears kids face is meeting their new teachers. Take the opportunity to go with your child to school a day or two before the first day to meet the new teacher(s). If personal contact with the teacher is not possible, try going by the classroom(s) and looking inside so your child can see the arrangement and explore the surrounding environment. Also, try locating the teacher’s picture on a school website so your child can put a name with a face.
