[1]The mission of Camp Boggy Creek is to enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life-threatening illnesses by creating camping experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound. The camp serves children ages 7-16. There is no charge to attend.
Camp offers a chance for these children to feel normal and just be kids. They get to ride horses, go boating and fishing, do arts & crafts, play miniature golf and do all of the activities of a normal camp. But, a state of the art medical facility and team of doctors and nurses insure that even the most seriously ill children will have a safe and life enhancing experience shared with other kids “just like them.”
[2]During the summer there are 9 weeklong sessions when campers with the same illness come together. This also provides a needed break for parents and other family members. The rest of the year, Camp Boggy Creek hosts 20 disease specific family weekends when parents and siblings are invited to join in the fun.

[4]CAMP provides a wide range of recreational, educational, and respite services for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and their families. Provision of medical support ensures that everyone is able to participate in all programs. All activities at CAMP are adapted to accommodate the special needs of each Camper.
Providing all members of the family with a week of respite is extremely important to CAMP. By incorporating the non-disabled siblings of our Campers into their own program, parents and caregivers receive a week of rest, relaxation and rejuvenation crucial to maintaining their own physical and mental health.
[5]CAMP also makes a difference by molding over 300 teen and young adult volunteers each summer into the civic-minded leaders of our future. These young people provide the one-to-one camper-to-counselor ratio that makes CAMP exceptional.
Programs: residential summer camping for children and adults with special needs and school-year respite programs including Parents Night Out, Teen and Adult Day Adventure, and camping weekends. These attributes and more have made CAMP one of the most fulfilling and unique camps for individuals with special needs in Texas since 1979.

Camp Courageous, Inc. fosters socialization, independence and educational opportunities through a community based outdoor recreational program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our overall mission is to improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities, through an array of outdoor recreational programs including residential camping, respite weekends, and day camp programs for children with disabilities.
[8]Camp Courageous, Inc. provides individuals with special needs a complete outdoor recreation experience. Our services include nature education, hikes throughout our 85 acres, arts therapy, horticultural therapy, sports and leisure activities and swimming and aquatics activities in our new zero-entry pool. Residential campers sleep in fully accessible cabins. Each day is filled with activities to stimulate all of the senses, starting with nutritious, made from scratch meals, to campfires and evening dances and events. Our day camp program is designed for children who may not yet be ready to stay overnight at camp. The camp season is not limited to the summer months. Our core camp season for children and adults with disabilities operates for 9 consecutive weeks in June, July and August. This program is followed by respite weekends throughout the late summer and fall.

Summit Camp
Camp Summit is oriented toward children with low self-esteem, immature social skill development and learning challenges in need of a structured and supportive summer experience. Summit’s program, developed and supervised by an outstanding staff of special educators, focuses on the development of independence, social skills, self-image and the maintenance of academic skills.
Each Summit camper participates in a fully non-competitive, 
[10]socially oriented, “main-streamed” styled camp program. A camper/ counselor ratio of 2:1 provides a high level of individualization at activities and in the cabin setting insuring success. In addition to traditional camp activities, each child participates in an individually designed academic program intended to help maintain current skill levels throughout the summer season.
Summit campers are exposed to a variety of social experiences designed to foster age-appropriate social skill development. Group social skill sessions and constant reinforcement within the cabin setting cultivate growth in each camper’s ability to work as part of a team, interpret social situations and feel a sense of inclusion within the camp community.

[12]The Painted Turtle is a summer camp and year-round care center for children with life-threatening and chronic medical conditions as well as their families. The Painted Turtle provides therapeutic recreational programming that allows children with medical conditions to find success, independence, self-esteem, and connection to others through traditional camp programs such as arts and crafts, woodshop, boating and fishing, ropes course and adventure, equestrian, swimming, and more. The Painted Turtle runs 8 summer sessions for children, ages 7-16, and 12 Family Weekend Programs for children with medical conditions and their families. Each session is disease specific and is staffed with both experienced program and medical personnel to provide the best quality care for campers. A state-of-the-art medical facility is located on site.
[13]Medical conditions currently served include: kidney disease and transplant, liver transplant, rheumatic diseases, spina-bifida, thalassemia, hemophilia, Crohn’s and colitis, skeletal dysplasia, limb loss, limb deficiency, severe burns, immune deficiency diseases, Prader-Willi syndrome, and severe asthma. The Painted Turtle, located 1½ hours outside of Los Angeles, primarily serves children from California and the western United States.
