Who doesn’t like Chocolate Caramel apples, but who has time to make them? And who wants their children eating all that processed sugar? Well we’ve created a No Cooking Easy-Semi Healthy Chocolate Caramel Apple Spread that can be made easily and quickly, even as an after school treat.

Prep time: 10 Minutes

Makes Approximately 1 Cup of Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

Place all ingredients into your food processor and blend until smooth. Remember to stop to scrape down the sides. Keep processing until it looks like caramel.

If you are serving this as a caramel apple spread, place dip in a small bowl alongside apple and pear slices.

Making a batch and then keeping in the fridge makes it really convenient. It will keep for about 2-3 weeks in the fridge. Be sure to date your container as to when you made it so you know the approx. expiration date. I use masking take and a black Sharpie.

Enjoy!

Caramel Apple Instructions:

DATES: Cover dates with water and soak them over night or until liquid is absorbed.

Alternatively, you could heat water for 2 minutes in microwave and pour over dates and let soak for several minutes. You don’t want to cook the dates or even heat them up. You only want to get them nice and soft.
