Language Time:

This is a great recipe to help encourage language!

Sequencing: Expressive and Receptive Language: Print out the images of the steps of building the taco and have your child put them in order from first mushroom-1 [7]to last steps. Have them tell you what is going on in each step.

Receptive Language: Tell your child various two step directions to follow while making the recipe, for example “get the garlic powder and measure 1/4 teaspoon” (2 step- related directions) or “put the mushrooms in the pan and get the butter from the fridge” (2 step- unrelated directions).

Expressive Language: Play Chef; have your child tell you how to assemble your taco. Let them describe each step and ask questions as they show you how to build it. Get them thinking!psn_logo_-heart_outline2 [8]
