INCLUSIVE COLORING PAGES
Doing more than just Poppin Wheelies
This holiday season, don’t let your children sit around bored while you’re busy cooking the festive dinners, instead, let them color Sue Nuenke’s creations of children with physical and hidden disabilities and children without disabilities.
Nuenke created these inclusive coloring images with her son Christopher in mind. Christopher was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an inherited disorder that causes rapid muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue.

The incident Sue and her son Christopher encountered sparked this great idea while shopping at a crafts store.
Sue commented how there were no stickers or coloring pages with people in wheelchairs. A nearby shopper heard and expressed similar frustration. That day, Sue decided to make some of her own, using her son as her model.

Sue’s creations took off, and soon she made a business out of it; after a while, she decided she preferred to give her stickers and coloring pages away. Now Sue enjoys making her creations for everyone. When people ask her to create images of other disabilities, she gladly does so.

If you go to her site, you will find countless images of anything from seasonal pictures to party pictures and even scenes from school. There are over 240 coloring sheets to choose from.

Even after the passing of her son Christopher, Sue continues to create; she knows that her son is still the lead motivator for her work and realizes that the greater good she is doing for other families is the reason behind this whole thing.
“ He was my inspiration, my cheerleader, and my most honest critic; even if Chris is no longer with us, Popping Wheelies are still here for children and families who are now on their own unique journeys. Bringing a little joy and understanding through these positive and inclusive images is my joy.”
This holiday we are especially appreciative of Sue and her son Chris for all their hard work and dedication for disability diversity.
