About iCan Swim
iCan Swim is a five-day program that teaches individuals with disabilities, age 3 and above, to swim and be safe in the water. We focus on each swimmer’s aquatic goal while teaching all basic swim skills during the week. Water safety is included each day as well as deep-water skills on Wednesday. Each swimmer attends a 45- or 60-minute session each day (depending on their age), building skills each consecutive day, Monday through Friday. A team of two iCan Swim specialized Adapted Aquatics Instructors deliver the program, assisted by a team of volunteers, a minimum of one volunteer per swimmer.
Our iCan Swim programs are offered throughout the United States and Canada. iCan Shine partners with ‘hosts’, organizations or individuals to bring our programs into the local community. Check out our website map [3] to see if there is an iCan Swim camp in your community.
