Fingerprint Reindeer Cards Fun and Functional

Fingerprint Reindeer Cards

Create some home-made fun “Fingerprint Reindeer cards”. Your child can help create these cards and then give them to all those that help your child: teachers, aides, therapists, etc. Include a “note of thanks” inside and you will have a fun and functional gift.

Supplies: blank notecards; craft glue; brown inkpad; “googly eyes” (small); red, mini rhinestones; brown and black markers; optional mini pom-poms.

Directions:

Have your child press an index finger or thumb into an ink pad with non-toxic brown ink, then stamp three reindeer heads on each blank notecard or sheet of card stock. Use craft glue to make dots where eyes would go to attach “googly eyes”. Use rhinestone stickers in red for Rudolph’s nose, or red mini pom-poms. We used a black marker for the other reindeer’s noses and finished by drawing antlers with a brown marker.

Tips: our child found it easier to use her index finger. Also, she found it easier to put the glue dots on the paper and then attach the “googly eyes”.
