Finding GFCF Baked Goods While You are Traveling

Finding GFCF Baked Goods While You are Traveling

You are on a family vacation, you want to eat some fresh delicious gluten free/casein free, allergy free baked goods, but where do you go? More and more people are becoming gluten free for health reasons, health necessities, or simply because, for them, it makes sense. There are plenty of bakeries and restaurants that serve gluten-free foods. Many are free of other allergens, as well. If you are highly allergic or highly intolerant, ask if they also bake foods with the allergens in their facility.

Some bakeries will ship their items. If you find a bakery you love in your travels, ask if they deliver to your area. Be sure to ask about the shipping costs; sometimes the shipping prices can be very exorbitant and not worth the total expense. Of course, if you live within driving distance to these places, all the better for you to enjoy one of their treats year-round.

Many allergy-friendly bakeries were started by Warrior Moms’ moms who have children who cannot eat many allergy-inducing foods. They put their mommy skills and baking skills forward and opened up bakeries, so children and adults, like their own, can enjoy foods that not only taste amazing, but are free of many allergens!
To locate many Gluten Free bakeries, this web site was put together for the US and Canada [1].
