Use a whisk for traditional egg dyeing
Make dyeing Easter eggs easier for kids by using a whisk as an egg dipper! Place the egg inside the whisk and hand it to your child. It is much easier for them to use than the little dipper. As an added plus, there are no spills or dropping of the egg on the floor. When they are done dyeing the egg, simply move one of the metal loops of the whisk back to remove the egg.
Try dying Easter eggs with rice and food coloring
Here is a great idea for dying Easter eggs and using rice, food coloring, and plastic containers. You probably already have everything you need to make these eggs in your cupboard. via It all Started with Paint [2]

Sharpie Eggs
Let’s make Sharpie eggs…all you need are … well … some Sharpies [4] (affiliate). Choose all different colors (pastel types are the obvious selection) and marker sizes. Then, let your child’s imagination go wild! With the right color combo, anything from a beautifully drawn animal to a special message to a toddler’s scribble will look amazing. via Mom & Me [5]

Easter Egg Decorating Made Easy with Tissue Paper
This is a fun and easy Easter egg craft. Instead of the standard dyed eggs, we were inspired by the folks at Wee Folk Art [7]. Using tissue paper, water, and Mod Podge, we created these colorful mosaic eggs. Adapting the directions slightly to be a little easier to do, we used our index finger as a paintbrush. We then tore the tissue paper and separated it to make it easier to pick up with our finger. We wet the egg with our finger, picked up the paper and then tapped the paper in place with our finger.

Textured Eggs
Take some cheap plastic eggs, fill them with a few beans (you could fill with anything- rice, dried pasta, beads, etc.) for sound effects, and then hot-glue them shut. Use craft materials for items with interesting colors and textures that can be hot glued to the outside of the eggs. Here are a few ideas to get you going: pompoms, part of some feather trim, tinsel, thick yarn, plastic gems, sparkly pipe cleaners, and buttons. via Twodaloo [9]

Volcano method- For the paint, mix approximately 1 Tablespoon of baking soda with 6 drops of food coloring. Add just a splash of water to make it thin enough to paint with. After you paint your egg, drizzle it with vinegar. It will foam! via Becky Shattuck [10]

Egg-sicles
Egg-sicles are an “eggcellent” activity/recipe for Spring! We are always trying to figure out healthier, sweet, treat options for the kids and family to eat and enjoy. These egg-sicles are perfect: they are made from real fruit and coconut water and you could also make them using your favorite smoothie recipe (not shown in this recipe, but, we tested them out with chocolate, peanut butter, protein, and almond milk with frozen banana slice surprise in the middle…that was super delicious).
