Special Treats Just for You, No guilt!

Holidays mean lots of “hussle and bussle” and possible extra weight gain. I have found that the following treats satisfy my chocolate, ice cream and butter toffee cravings without going overboard on my continual quest to eat healthy. Knowing that I have these treats “stashed away” in the cupboard or freezer just for me helps me to say “No” and limit other holiday treats that are loaded with extra calories.
Gayle’s Miracles: As the package says: “The perfect Truffle.” They have only 30 calories and 1 gram of fat per truffle. The truffles are small, but, very rich. I thought I could eat several at one setting, but, as it turns out, two were very satisfying. I really enjoyed the NEW cappuccino and dark chocolate/raspberry truffles. Please note that those flavors are not available in the 3oz snack bag. www.gaylesmiracles.com/
Butter Toffee Flavorord, Blue Diamond Natural Oven Roasted Almonds: I must admit, I love these almonds. The buttery rich almond toffee flavor is incredible. A few of these nuts actually soothes my craving for sweets. An actual serving size is about 24 almonds (1 oz) for 160 calories. I know they are high in carbs, so, I treat them like candy and only eat a few at a time. I have also given them to my daughter as an alternative to candy. Available at most grocery stores
Clemmy’s Vanilla Bean, Sugar-Free Ice Cream: I found this ice cream when trying to eliminate sugar from my diet. This ice cream is amazing, 100% sugar-free, rich in taste and flavor. The company tag line is “Keep the sweet-Lose the sugar.” It turns out that the founder that created Clemmy’s, Jon Gordon, was also trying to eliminate sugar from his diet after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Thank you, Jon Gordon, for creating this all-natural, sugar-free, lactose-free and gluten-free ice cream that allows all of us the joy of eating ice cream without the guilt.
