Isaiah, Samuel and Elijah
This issue’s cover photo was sent to us by proud Mom, Jami De La Cerda. It features her son, Isaiah, 13, and twins, Samuel and Elijah, 10. Elijah has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Her “3 Kings”, as she lovingly refers to them, love to hang out together as much as possible. Isaiah and Samuel love to swim and Elijah loves to be a part of everything in his own way. He is always the life of the party…….squirting his brothers or blowing and catching bubbles. Like most children these days, they love their Nintendo games and iPads just as much as they love playing sports like basketball and archery. Elijah especially loves to play the drums and dance and even participated in a hip-hop dance recital. When asked what they wanted to be when they grow up, Isaiah said that he wasn’t sure, but it would involve helping people and Samuel wants to play basketball for the rest of his life. It was an easy question for Elijah….he wants to play his drums! To read more about them, please see page 19 in this issue.
