Lets Talk About Lemonade– Talk with your kids.

(Fun Facts from Goodies and Giggles)

Ask your child if they know why it is called lemonade?

Lemonade is called “lemonade” and not “lemon juice” like “orange juice” because it is a mixture of lemon juice, sugar, and water, which is why it’s called “lemonade.”

Discuss that the term lemonade has other meanings

For example: “If life gives you lemons, make lemonade” – a famous quote by Dale Carnegie, meaning one should make the best of bad situations.

“Depression lemonade” refers to the practice of asking for a glass of water with lemon at a restaurant, then squeezing lemon into the water, and mixing in sugar packets to make “free” lemonade.
