This month’s cover features Mary M. Bates and her son, Justin C. Bates, who is 12 and has been diagnosed with Septo-Optic Dysplasia, Blindness & Autism. He has three older half-brothers and he loves to listen to classical music, play his tambourine, and make beats on the drums. He also likes to imitate different sounds like emergency vehicles and large trucks. Mom’s main wish is for Justin to be a productive, young man.
