Nancy Flanders

Nancy Flanders is a freelance writer living in Essex Junction, Vermont with her husband, Steve and their daughter, Maggie who was diagnosed at birth with cystic fibrosis. Nancy is the former editor of Vermont HomeStyle Magazine and is currently a monthly contributor to Kids VT newspaper, focusing on special needs issues. In addition, she writes for various other local parenting publications throughout the country. Nancy is an active member of the Cystic Fibrosis Patient and Family Advisory Board at Vermont Children's Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont. The group works to keep families and patients informed of new developments in treatments through a newsletter and annual family education night. Nancy also works to raise money for cystic fibrosis research.
