Nancy Moody is the chairperson for the District 15 Family Care Council. The Council members are appointed by the Governor and consist of individuals who are consumers of the Agency for Persons with Disability, as well as parents, guardians, or siblings of consumers.
Nancy is dedicated to the education of the community, and in particular, the education and support of families and individuals who have disabilities. She was the founder and president  of Parent to Parent of Indian River County for eight years. She was the area trainer for parents learning about IDEA as well as early intervention services. In addition, Nancy was a KEYS trainer, teaching selected staff how to include school-age children with disabilities in regular summer camp.
Nancy is married and the mother of four, Michael, Charles, O'Hara and Patricia. Patricia, 24, is a graduate of Sebastian River High School and has Down Syndrome. She teaches American Sign Language at the Sun-Up Center and Abilities Resource Center (ARC).
