Struggling Learners Stand for…

 

A ‘Hero’s Journey’ to Understanding.

 

 

Submitted by Louise Crossley, who works as an Integration Aide at a Catholic Primary School where she teaches struggling learners and special needs children.  She also teaches refugee children literacy and oral language skills at an English Language School on Saturday afternoons. She have recently written a book titled Ella's Handbag about a little girl who learns to believe in herself despite her learning difficulties.  Ella's Handbag won the 2009 Jan Bavinton award through the Victorian Independent Education Union - the book will be distributed to Catholic and independent schools in Victoria.
